Dr Yeh Chen Lee (MBBS BMedSci MPhil[H1] FRACP) is a clinical investigator and medical oncologist with subspecialty expertise in soft tissue sarcoma and gynaecological cancers.


Dr Lee is a Staff Specialist at the Prince of Wales – Royal Hospital for Women; and a Research Fellow at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC), University of Sydney. Dr Lee completed a dual research fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Melbourne, Australia; 2015-2016) and at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Toronto, Canada; 2016-2018) where she serves as Chief Fellow for the Gynaecology and Drug Development Program. Her research focus is to improve patient care in gynaecological cancers and soft tissue sarcoma, through advancing and translating knowledge in cancer genetics, drug development and supportive care. 

Dr Lee has completed a postgraduate Master of Philosophy with first class honours (University of Melbourne) investigating ways to improve ovarian cancer care along the disease trajectory. Her research accomplishments included receipt of the GCIG Scholar Award (2019), CAHON Young Investigator Award (2018), Tannock Fellowship Award (2017) and Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Merit Award (2016). Dr Lee’s research leadership includes being an appointed member of the Research Advisory Committee and Ovarian Tumour Type Working Group for the ANZGOG (Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group) and appointed member of the Gynaecological Cancer and Sarcoma Reference Committee for EviQ Cancer Treatment Online and a member of ANZSA (Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association)


 Dr Lee is highly active in clinical trials and has been closely involved in the study concept development and conduct of >30 Phase I-III investigator-initiated and collaborative trials. She currently serves as a teaching faculty member for the Asia Pacific Clinical Oncology Research Development (ACORD) workshop and conjoint senior lecturer for UNSW Sydney.
